The "Chatter" feature in SayIntentions.AI has been significantly reworked to enhance the realism and immersion of the ATC experience in flight simulation. Here's how it works:
1. Historical ATC Communications from Multiplayer Pilots:
- Opt-In Feature: Pilots can choose to opt-in to have their real-time communications recorded at specific airports. These recordings are then stored in the Historical Chatter database.
- Playback of Historical Chatter: Future pilots at the same airport can hear these recorded communications as part of the ATC chatter, making the experience more authentic and contextually relevant. This eliminates the disconnect often felt when hearing chatter unrelated to the current location or operation.
2. Types of Chatter:
- Canned (Pre-Recorded AI Generated): Standard pre-recorded ATC chatter generated by AI.
- Live Multiplayer Global: Live communications from other pilots globally who are interacting with the same type of controller (e.g., ground, tower).
- Live Multiplayer Proximity: Live communications from other SayIntentions.AI pilots currently within radio range on the same frequency.
- Pre-Recorded Multiplayer Proximity: Historical chatter from pilots who were previously in radio range and communicating on the same frequency.
3. Customization and Moderation:
- Share My Audio: Pilots who opt-in allow their communications to be shared and used for chatter playback, enhancing the experience for others.
- Chatter Amount Slider: Users can adjust how much chatter they hear, tailoring the experience to their preference.
- Moderation: AI assistance and manual moderation ensure that all communications remain professional and family-friendly. Users can report any inappropriate chatter for review.
4. Enhanced Immersion:
- The reworked chatter system significantly increases the immersion by ensuring that the communications heard are relevant to the pilot's location and current operations, mimicking real-world ATC environments more closely.
Overall, the Chatter feature in SayIntentions.AI is designed to create a "Living ATC World" by integrating real-time and historical communications from other pilots, thereby enriching the flight simulation experience.
