SayIntentions Streamer Banner

Created by Justice McCracken, Modified on Thu, 16 Jan at 9:36 PM by Justice McCracken

An overlay designed for flight sim streamers who want to showcase their flight data in real-time. Compatible with popular streaming tools like OBS, the Streamer Banner lets you present your SayIntentions flight data directly to your viewers, and giving that little bit of extra engagement with your stream.

Overview

Personalize your banner by adding your unique logo, streamer name, Twitch and YouTube icons, and custom accent colors. The banner displays essential flight details, including:

  • Flight Data: Your callsign, aircraft model, and departure/arrival airport ICAOs, plus departure and arrival times.

  • Live Metrics: Current speed, altitude, and heading.

  • Timers & ETAs: Current time, arrival countdown, estimated time of arrival, remaining distance, visual cues of being on-time or delayed.

  • Flight Phases: Real-time updates on your flight status (Pre-Departure, Taxi, Enroute, Arriving Soon, Landed, Arrived).

  • Landing Rate Display: Built-in landing rate display for MSFS flights – no need for extra tools!

Important Note: The Streamer Banner currently supports IFR flights only, with SimBrief flight plans. VFR will be added in the future.

Setup Instructions

To set up your Streamer Banner, follow these one-time, easy steps:

  1. Visit https://tracker.sayintentions.ai/stream-banner/config .

  2. Enter your SayIntentions Public Display Name (found in the Pilot Portal).

  3. Add your SimBrief Username (from SimBrief Account Settings).

  4. Optionally, add a logo (public link, 1:1 dimensions recommended).

  5. Enter your streamer name (optional).

  6. Add Twitch, YouTube, or both icons (optional).

  7. Generate the URL.

  8. Preview the banner and adjust as needed.

  9. Copy the final URL when ready.

OBS Setup

  1. In OBS, add a new Source in the scene where you want the banner displayed.

  2. Choose the Browser option, add a name, and click OK.

  3. Paste the generated URL in the URL field (do not select “local file”).

  4. Set dimensions (for 1080p streaming, use 1450 width x 600 height) and resize the banner as needed.

And that’s it! Load into the sim, start SayIntentions, and stream away!

Note: The banner checks for a new SimBrief flight plan every 5 minutes. If a new flight plan was filed, please allow up to 5 minutes for the banner to refresh.
