GA/VFR Traffic FAQ

Q: I see no traffic at my airfield. Why?

A: Currently, about 16,000 airports worldwide have enough data for us to generate traffic. If your airport isn’t showing traffic yet, don’t worry — this number will increase as we configure more airports through the new TTv4 system.

Q: Is data from FlightRadar or other live sources used?

A: No. Our GA traffic is 100% AI-driven. However, it’s not purely random: the AI considers factors like aircraft performance, country-specific patterns, and local airport characteristics to generate traffic that feels authentic while still being dynamic.

Q: I see no GA traffic. What should I do?

A: Make sure you are running the latest SayIntentions app (v3.2.2.5 or above). Restart the app a couple of times — sometimes it needs a fresh start to pull the newest background components.

Also check that Dispatcher 0.1.25.2 (or newer) is running:

  • Open Task Manager.
  • Find the process named Dispatcher. (Sayintentions Dispatcher, or si_dispatcher.exe)
  • Right-click → Properties → check the Version.
  • If you don’t see the right version, reinstall or update the app to ensure everything is up to date.

Q: What models and liveries are used?

A: Just like with our other Living World injections, we don’t ship custom aircraft models or liveries. Instead, the system uses the models and liveries you already have installed locally, so your AI traffic blends seamlessly with your existing setup.

Q: Is this only available in the US like before?

A: No. Thanks to our AI-driven implementation, General Aviation traffic is now available worldwide. You may still encounter some local limitations depending on the TTv4 profiles configured for your airport, but overall you should see much more life at airfields across the globe.

Q: Will GA traffic only show up at towered airports, or also at smaller airfields with UNICOM or just a radio service?

A: Any airfield that has parking spots configured in TTv4 can have AI-generated traffic. That means you’ll see activity at smaller airfields as well, not just at towered airports.

Q: I cannot hear GA traffic enroute. Why?

A: Our latest iteration has enroute traffic on the Experimental server.
Be advised, if you fly high and IFR you probably use different frequencies and will not hear them anyway.
