This mode is used to select nodes and segments that form a taxiway. Once segments are selected you can then bulk rename them, change the width of the taxiway, or delete these nodes and segments!
Here are some selection examples:
Nodes and Segments
Nodes are used to connect adjacent segments. Once selected they can renamed, width changed and they can be deleted. Here is an example of a segment selected by drawing a marquee (click and drag a marquee) around two nodes:
TIP: Selections can be made by clicking/dragging from left to right to select a segment between two nodes OR from right to left to select multiple segments connected to each node selected. Play with it and the behavior becomes very obvious!
TIP#2: The SHIFT key adds to the selection and the CONTROL key removes from the selection.
When a segment or segments are selected their names will appear in the Mode/Selection box to the right with icons which allow for filtering specific segments to be removed from the current selection.
TIP: In the Mode Section the selected segments can be filtered using the funnel icons to the right of the segment name. Click on the Left Funnel to select all segments except the currently highlighted one in the current selection list. Click on the Right Funnel to select just the currently highlighted segments.
TIP#2: To select every segment with same name, while in the Selection mode you can click on the colored box in the legend section above the map. Hovering over one of these boxes first will allow you to see all the segments that will be selected.
Once satisfied with your selection you can use this Selection Section to change the name, width or delete these taxiway segments. Also, to aid in visibility you can use the sliders to adjust the point size of nodes, the line size of segments and the Pathfinder path size.
