We want to make it clear that this is not a SayIntentions.AI issue.
We are providing this help "as is" because we believe it can get you sorted
if you encouter repeated crash to desktop (CTD) situations
with your MSFS 2024 simulator.
Why should I clear my WASM Cache folders ?
In MSFS, a WASM Cache folder is a directory in which any plugin will store useful informations or oftenly accessed data for its good execution.
Unfortunately, it seems that for many different reasons, these cache folders tend to get corrupted.
Clearing these cache folders can help in case you encounter issues with your simulator.
How would I do that ?
Identify your WASM folder
Default paths :
Steam : %AppData%\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\WASM
MS Store : %LocalAppData%\packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\WASM
Locate your WASM folder
- Open an Explorer window
- Paste your WASM folder path from above in the address bar
- Press Enter to reach the designated path
Look for the MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 folders
For both MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 folders :
- Enter each folder
- Delete all "package-name" folders that are in here
- These "package-name" folders and their content will be re-generated next time you load into a flight
If you want to be more chirurgical, you can go through every “package-name” folder you suspect to be the culprit and delete it.
Important remark regarding the “work” folder found under each of these “package-name” folder :
- Some addons do save their settings in this folder (Control mappings, Third-Party connections, …).
- If you want to restore the settings after confirming the issue are resolved, we recommend that you save this folder before you actually delete it
