Is my AI Traffic injection working ?

You should see, top right of your SI client, an aircraft icon, indicating that AI Traffic injection is enabled.

If this icon isn’t showing, it means AI Traffic isn’t enabled on the Traffic tab.

If the icon is showing, it can express different statuses as explained below.

Orange

It means we’re lacking available data at the airport you’re at to inject AI Traffic into your simulator.

We are dedicated at updating all TaxiTuner profiles around the world. 

If your airport hasn’t been tuned just yet, you can also contribute by creating a TaxiTuner profile for this airport, please see TaxiTuner resources or ask on Discord.

Yellow

(there is a legend saying that yellow AI Traffic aircraft icon exist)

It means we’re lacking available data to inject AI Traffic in your simulator, wether you are on the ground or airborne.

This can be either because there is nothing to inject, or because of an issue with the traffic to be injected.

Issues include, for the AI Traffic injection, error in the schedule, in the flight plan, …

We’re actively working on fixing all potential issues as soon as we discover them

Green or Dark Green

We have all the necessary data to inject AI Traffic in your simulator and it’s being currently injected !

Green means there are currently Active aircrafts around you.

Dark Green means there are no Active aircrafts around you.

Remark:

If your icon doesn't turn Green when being at a well known US or EU airport, something's probably wrong in your SayIntentions.AI installation.

I am not seeing any aircraft

Please confirm the color of your AI Traffic aircraft icon. To see static or AI aircrafts, the icon should be Green/Dark Green :

If it is of a different color, something is wrong with the injection.

I am not seeing movement at an airport

If the AI Traffic aircraft icon is of a color other than Green, please refer to Is My AI Traffic injection working ?

If the AI Traffic aircraft icon is Green :

- There are no aircraft due to move at the present time in the AI schedule

- AI aircraft did pushback but may have been stuck within nearby aircrafts and thus got deleted afterwards, we're dedicated at fixing this.

I get very low amount of aircrafts at my current airport

We’ve seen similar reports and sometimes, AI aircrafts fail to inject because of a corrupted model library.

If you think you’re facing such issue, we recommend that you run a test without any model library. Then, try to completely reinstall the model library.

I only get to see default MSFS liveries

Please make sure you install external model and livery products like AIG or FSLTL in your Community folder before starting MSFS 2020 or MSFS 2024 and SayIntentions.AI

We automatically search for those models to use and match.

I am not hearing comms on the ground 

If the AI Traffic aircraft icon is of a color other than Green, please refer to Is My AI Traffic injection working ?

If the AI Traffic aircraft icon is Green and you are seeing aircrafts moving :

• Make sure you are on the appropriate frequency (Ground, Tower)

  • All frequencies for a given position are merged together so you will hear all communications on that position whichever frequency you’re tuned to.
    
    

• To account for the high cost of voice generation :

  • AI traffic voices will go silent after 10 minutes without movement from your aircraft. They resume as soon as you start moving. This limitation is not currently enforced and we will revisit the duration to something less restrictive.

  • We made the choice of no AI comms on CLR/DEL frequencies 

I see AI Traffic but I hear no comms

The development team is looking at a way to get a realistic increase communication between ATC and AI planes without resorting to nonsense instructions. Right now you may expect check-ins, handoff and descend instructions. If you do not hear anything we certainly want to know, we identified some issues we are investigating. 

I see the aircraft in the sim, but it’s not showing up on my TCAS

The TCAS systems used in MSFS aircrafts ask the sim for nearby injected traffic. All of our injected traffic is visible to these systems.

If your TCAS system is not showing traffic that you can otherwise see, we recommend reaching out to the company that makes your airplane for support.

The traffic I see in sim isn't the same as the one on FlightRadar24

When looking trough your cockpit window or at a flight viewer such as LNM or VSR, the traffic you see in sim is not exactly the same as what you can see on FlightRadar24.
